A.D.MORONE – LEGACY TROPHY

This trophy was donated by Yarra Valley Legacy in 1982. It is now also known as the A.D. (Don) Morone Trophy. Don was the organiser-in-chief for Legacy Day for many years and the trophy was re-named in his memory.

RADCLYFFE TROPHY

Diggers’ Day (now known as Legacy Day) was initiated by Dick Radclyffe in 1934 for Returned Soldiers from the First World War. An annual event that was continued after the Second World War. Apparently, the trophy was presented to the Club by Dick and is engraved “Radclyffe Challenge Cup” 1934. Dick was also a former Hon. Secretary of the Club. After his death in 1950 the trophy was re-named the “D. Radclyffe Memorial Trophy” and Mr. George McGowan offered to donate the trophy each year.
